We work with all versions of Windows including WIndows XP/Vista/7/8.x/10 and more! We also only work with fully legitimate versions of Windows, you will never get a pirated version from us, and we will advise you of any licensing issues we may see. What we do
Whether you're reinstalling your existing Operating System, or upgrading it, most of what we do will be very similar (not including any licensing steps, such as Windows licensing).
First, we recommend that you back up anything you care about off of the computer. If you need our help backing up your files please let us know so we can co-ordinate your backups. Consider that the computer(s) will be wiped clean and it is safe to assume you cannot get data back once the wiping is complete.
Second, we will install the Operating System of your choice and wipe out the existing one in the process. This will give you a fresh starting point, whatever your selection.
Third, we will setup any drivers and updates that you need applied. Typically this step takes longest in Windows. Updates typically include plenty of security and bug fixes.
Fourth, we will perform some brief, rudimentary software installation at your request.
These steps approximately define what is involved in the Operating System Reinstallation process. If you want to upgrade to a version of Windows you do not previously own, we will need to co-ordinate purchase of the relevant license. Ubuntu Linux has no relevant licensing limitations, so there is no licensing cost involved.
