LANified! even went above and beyond by providing a custom-built manual, which includes all default settings, passwords, configuration recommendations, and a detailed order of work with reference values. I contracted Tristan from LANified! IT Services back in June of 2023 to see about upgrading one of our Linux based file servers. It was running an old outdated operating system and also needed a few tweaks to run better.

Tristan was in contact for months with emails back and forth to determine:
A.) What the server was used for
B.) How many users would access the data
C.) How the server replicated data and back-ups
D.) Several other aspects of its functionality

Once he got a clear picture, and knew what we wanted, we set a date for him to come on site mid-November and complete the update. It went extremely smooth. All firmware was updated as well as the operating system. The pools were imported, tested and fully functional. New security measures were implemented, and critical status email alerts were reimplemented. Afterwards, the support did not stop. Tristan kept in touch to make sure that the server was still functioning properly and smoothly. A few issues with drive mapping were looked into and cleared up.

I’m quite pleased with the service and attention we received from LANified! IT Services, which is saying a lot. I’m not easily impressed. But I feel Tristan listened to what we wanted and did everything he could to provide what we needed. He went above and beyond what other IT companies in Calgary are willing to.
